2022

National Wetland Champion Award

For Mr. Meerasa's (Founder) tireless efforts, he was awarded the prestigious "Wetland Champion" National Award from the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change (MoEFCC), Government of India, in recognition of mangrove restoration work in Pulicat over the past 20 years.

Awarded 21.05.2022 at the Sahbhagita National Workshop for Conservation and Wise Use of Wetlands.

2023

State Green Champion Award

Mangrove Foundation of India was honored with the "State Green Champion Award 2023" from the Tamil Nadu government for green initiatives carried out from April 2023 to March 2024.

Awarded 15.08.2024.

2024–2027

Member, District Coastal Zone Management Authority

Mr. Meerasa has been selected as a Member of the District Coastal Zone Management Authority (DCZMA), Tiruvallur District, Government of Tamil Nadu (2024–2027).

Also represented MFI at the India Mangrove Conclave 2024.
